Secret World of Wildlife Rescue

Staff training & facilitation

We're experienced trainers, and have developed bespoke workshops for a huge variety of organisations. We can deliver these in-person and online, as well as creating video modules using software such as Loom, and this way the content can be used multiple times, and the learning can take place more flexibly. We were also a Small Charities Coalition approved trainer when we supported them for a number of years.

We highlight the session we ran with the Secret World of Wildlife Rescue as it stands out in particular. The session was held in a room with their pet snake, while a variety of other animals came to visit throughout the day, including baby bats that needed feeding! The Director contacted us, as she wanted the staff team to be more confident at asking for donations, and in particular regular gifts.

We're comfortable developing training to meet your needs provided we have the expertise, and have historically delivered short sessions to boards on fundraising and governance, and a popular topic is on how to develop a fundraising strategy. Additionally, we've also delivered half day workshops on increasing unrestricted income from individuals which is really helpful for small to medium sized organisations in the early stages of developing an individual giving fundraising programme.

If you're interested in some training, then it's best to have a quick conversation in the first instance. But we would usually develop something bespoke to meet the needs of your organisation.

"Acacia Tree Fundraising helped us find the appropriate words to engage new supporters in just one session"

Lesley Brown, Chief Executive at Secret World of Wildlife Rescue

"Acacia Tree Fundraising delivered some online training for our board. It was really helpful and resulted in the most meaningful discussion about business development / fundraising I’ve had with the board. There were lots of good suggestions for future actions including some more training, which I plan to get in touch with them about at a later date"

Tom Beasley, CEO at Active Gloucestershire
